Steve and Monika – Don Cesar Wedding

I have a quirky sense of humor with a dry delivery that serves me well in cracking the ice with nervous couples and Wedding parties. There was, however, no ice to be cracked with Steve and Monika at their Don CeSar Beach Resort Wedding. Their Wedding party was stoked for fun and Steve and Monika were at the helm. I quickly discovered, as we started shooting at the Don CeSar, that Monika and her Bridesmaids were as kooky as they were attractive, and they proved it as they went from haute models to “showgirls” with every other shot.

The Groom, Steve, who works for the Tampa Bay Rays, took my prompting with ease and his Groomsmen followed suit, sliding from Reservoir Dogs to flying dogs in a beat.

As we took the Photo Shoot on the road, to Tropicana Field/Rays Stadium where Steve works, the Flying Dog show began in earnest.

Of course the girls would not be outdone and did their own share of flying and… cheering, I think, at Rays Stadium.

Then back to the Don CeSar to wrap the shoot with Monika and Steve before their intros into the reception.

“Monika!”

As the sun began setting I caught a few poignant moments with the couple, punctuated, of course, with a fake “toss-Monika-over-the-edge” by Steve.

Great day, great Wedding at the Don CeSar Beach Resort – I’d shoot it all over again, any time.
