Mary and David – Ybor City Engagement Shoot
The big day is tomorrow – David and Mary’s Wedding at the Don Vicente Historic Inn in Ybor City. I’ll be there most of the day along with the lovely Georgia Watson of Weddings by Georgia. It should be a blast and the Don Vicente is gorgeous, great for photos. Below, are some of my favorite shots from Mary and David’s engagement shoot in Ybor near the Don Vicente. Check out the last shot in the post: I was lying in the street to catch a flare from the headlight of an oncoming car. It turned out to be a cop who thought that Mary and David had happened upon a dead body and didn’t know what to do. He lit us up. I assured him that I was still alive and stood up to prove it. Prior to setting up our booth at the A La Carte Event Pavilion invitation-only open house, September 10th, I managed to snap off some shots of the extraordinary décor as well as some table designs created by Corina for the A La Carte using beautiful overlays supplied by Linens By The Sea. The featured table designs and room adornment presented the Brides who attended with a taste of the gorgeous décor available at an A La Carte Wedding. BTW, no fish were harmed to get any these shots, as I don’t need a fish eye lens to create interesting images!
Al and I (Kevin) watched another photographer walk right past these excellent locations at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Pete. Whatever, all the better for us to get these great shots at the Vinoy. Later, after the ceremony in the Vinoy Tea Garden, we took a few more shots of Lauren and D.J. in the garden before heading for the reception at the Vinoy Sunset Ballroom on Snell Isle. We always take advantage of the beautiful surroundings, inside and out, whether we’re shooting beach Weddings, Gulf Lawn or Pool Lawn Weddings at the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater Beach.
