Amanda and Andrew’s “First Look”, on the day of their Sandpearl Resort Wedding, unfolded with a light-hearted honesty that everyone loved being a part of. We brought the couple and their Wedding party together inside the Sandpearl Resort for the series of shots below. (We always encourage our couples to do this “First Look” as it’s a wonderful moment to share whether it be with friends and family or a private moment.)

What you didn’t see, in the first part of Amanda and Andrew’s First Look at the Sandpearl Resort, were Eric’s shots, from Second Camera position, that include setting up Amanda, Andrew and the Wedding party for the First Look near the Caretta Restaurant at the Sandpearl Resort. Enjoy.

Al and I (Kevin) watched another photographer walk right past these excellent locations at the Renaissance Vinoy Resort in St. Pete. Whatever, all the better for us to get these great shots at the Vinoy. Later, after the ceremony in the Vinoy Tea Garden, we took a few more shots of Lauren and D.J. in the garden before heading for the reception at the Vinoy Sunset Ballroom on Snell Isle. We always take advantage of the beautiful surroundings, inside and out, whether we’re shooting beach Weddings, Gulf Lawn or Pool Lawn Weddings at the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater Beach. What more could you ask for? How about a gorgeous Bride, a man in uniform, and a beach-side Wedding at the Sandpearl Resort Clearwater. I have a quirky sense of humor with a dry delivery that serves me well in cracking the ice with nervous couples and Wedding parties. There was, however, no ice to be cracked with Steve and Monika at their Don Cesar Wedding. Their Wedding party was stoked for fun and Steve and Monika were at the helm. I quickly discovered, as we started shooting at the Don Cesar, that Monika and her Bride’smaids were as kooky as they were attractive, and they proved it as they went from haute models to show girls with every other shot.

The Groom, Steve, who works for the Tampa Bay Rays, took my prompting with ease and his Groom’smen followed suit, sliding from Reservoir Dogs to flying dogs in a beat.

As we took the shoot on the road to Tropicana Field/Rays Stadium where Steve works, the Flying Dog show began in earnest.

Of course the girls would not be outdone and did their own share of flying and… cheering, I think, at Rays Stadium.

Then back to the Don Cesar to wrap the shoot with Monika and Steve before their intros into the reception.

As the sun began setting I caught a few poignant moments with the couple, punctuated, of course, with a fake toss-Monika-over-the-edge by Steve.

Great day, great Wedding at the Don Cesar – I’d shoot it all over again, any time.
