A La Carte Event Pavilion – Eric and Julia’s Wedding

Eric and Julia were recently married at the A La Carte Event Pavilion. While we mostly feature Bride and Groom pics in our posts, we thought we’d also pay kudos to the A La Carte staff for their attention to detail in making the venue itself such a great place to shoot. So here are a few shots including things like bouquets, bows, cakes, candles, dangling crystals and tastefully draped tulle. Of course, we can’t forget the Bride and Groom, so we’ve included a couple of them as well.

Of course I can always count on Eric V for the nighttime exterior shot of the A La Carte.

Sandpearl Resort Wedding – Kylie and Pete

Kylie and Pete were married at the Sandpearl Resort in Clearwater, FL. This venue always offers so many photographic opportunities. I (Eric) was second-shooting for Kevin, so these only represent a portion of the final image set provided by Tampa Photo.

This couch is actually what we moved out of the picture. Kylie rested against it while Kevin set up his next shot and everything came together.

Off to see the guys.

Kylie’s mom and sister react to the couple’s “first look.” Obviously, the primary shooter is going to focus on the couple’s reactions, but having two shooters allows one to sneak off and cover the side stories.

Before the ceremony ended I was able to run upstairs for a wide view of the Sandpearl property, while Kevin shot the sand ceremony.

We sneaked the couple outside just in time for sunset. We kept shooting for a bit and got the sky to really come out.

Look at that! Beach sunset shots without even having to touch the sand. Gotta love the Sandpearl Beach Resort.

Congratulations to Kylie and Pete! You guys made great models and you make a wonderful couple. Good luck and thanks for having Tampa Photo cover your wedding at the Sandpearl.

Ybor City Engagement Shoot Part Deux

Ybor city has long been one of my favorite places for Engagement Sessions. With a history dating back to the 1880s, Ybor has a great Gilded Age vibe to go with the excellent architecture which I use as backdrops for my Ybor City Engagement Sessions.

Recently, there has been a resurgence of couples booking Engagement Sessions, along with their Wedding Photography Collections. Most couples see these Photo Sessions as another creative outlet to feature themselves and use the resulting photographs as personalized “Save the Date” cards and/or unique Table Cards for their reception.

The Art of the Wedding Album

Your Wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and your memories of that event, should be showcased in a tasteful, artistic manner.

Amanda and Andrew’s "First Look" at the Sandpearl Resort Clearwater

Amanda and Andrew’s “First Look”, on the day of their Sandpearl Resort Wedding, unfolded with a light-hearted honesty that everyone loved being a part of. We brought the couple and their Wedding party together inside the Sandpearl Resort for the series of shots below. (We always encourage our couples to do this “First Look” as it’s a wonderful moment to share whether it be with friends and family or a private moment.)

Mary and David – Ybor City Engagement Shoot

The big day is tomorrow – David and Mary’s Wedding at the Don Vicente Historic Inn in Ybor City. I’ll be there most of the day along with the lovely Georgia Watson of Weddings by Georgia. It should be a blast and the Don Vicente is gorgeous, great for photos. Below, are some of my favorite shots from Mary and David’s engagement shoot in Ybor near the Don Vicente.

Check out the last shot in the post: I was lying in the street to catch a flare from the headlight of an oncoming car. It turned out to be a cop who thought that Mary and David had happened upon a dead body and didn’t know what to do. He lit us up. I assured him that I was still alive and stood up to prove it. He believed me.

A La Carte Event Pavilion – Open House

Prior to setting up our booth at the A La Carte Event Pavilion invitation-only Open House on September 10th, I managed to snap off some shots of the extraordinary décor as well as some table designs created by Corina for the A La Carte using beautiful overlays supplied by Linens By The Sea. The featured table designs and room adornment presented the Brides who attended with a taste of the gorgeous décor available at an A La Carte Wedding. BTW, no fish were harmed to get any these shots, as I don’t need a fish eye lens to create interesting images!
