The Art of the Wedding Album

Your Wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and your memories of that event, should be showcased in a tasteful, artistic manner.

For years, Tampa Photo has been the undisputed leader, in creating unique Coffee Table Books, from their client’s events. Our albums have received national acclaim and we showcase at least a dozen of our contemporary album designs at our Tampa Photo website, and here on our blog.

When couples try to cut costs, and pull money from their Wedding Photography budgets, the “Art” of the Wedding Album suffers, becoming cliché with the overuse of special effects and gauche designs that are meant to mask bad photos, taken by the “less expensive”, inexperienced photographers hired by these overly budget-conscious couples.

The images from your Wedding and your Wedding Album are something that are going to represent who you are as a couple, as you move through life. Your photos and album will constantly be compared to those of your friends and family members. Don’t you want your Wedding images and Wedding Album to showcase your event in the best possible light?

Below this post, you can preview our latest Storybook Album/Coffee Table Book that has been designed in the most contemporary fashion. These custom-designed Coffee Table Books are available in our Artist’s Album Collection.

Book an Artist’s Album Collection before February 12, 2010 and get a $300 dollar discount at the time of booking.

Mary and David – Ybor City Engagement Shoot

Mary and David – Ybor City Engagement Shoot

The big day is tomorrow – David and Mary’s Wedding at the Don Vicente Historic Inn in Ybor City. I’ll be there most of the day along with the lovely Georgia Watson of Weddings by Georgia. It should be a blast and the Don Vicente is gorgeous, great for photos. Below, are some of my favorite shots from Mary and David’s engagement shoot in Ybor near the Don Vicente. Check out the last shot in the post: I was lying in the street to catch a flare from the headlight of an oncoming car. It turned out to be a cop who thought that Mary and David had happened upon a dead body and didn’t know what to do. He lit us up. I assured him that I was still alive and stood up to prove it. He believed me. Check out the gallery for more engagement photos and stay tuned for the photos from David Mary’s Wedding at the Don Vicente. I’ll post them ASAP.

A La Carte Event Pavilion – Open House

Prior to setting up our booth at the A La Carte Event Pavilion invitation-only open house, September 10th, I managed to snap off some shots of the extraordinary décor as well as some table designs created by Corina for the A La Carte using beautiful overlays supplied by Linens By The Sea. The featured table designs and room adornment presented the Brides who attended with a taste of the gorgeous décor available at an A La Carte Wedding. BTW, no fish were harmed to get any these shots, as I don’t need a fish eye lens to create interesting images!

The “New” Tampa Photo Blog

This isn’t a “new” blog for Tampa Photo…we have found a great new layout and wanted to merge the blog that I kept for years, along with Eric’s blog and the blog that Kevin never got around to starting!

This new blog template will allow us to showcase individual photos as well as our album layouts and Photo Galleries.

What better way to start the first post than with a funny image?

You never know what to expect at a Wedding so when I saw this image, from one of Eric’s recent Weddings, I just had to laugh, and hope everyone else does too!

I’m sure the child who wrote this put a lot of thought and effort into their words! Enjoy and welcome to the “new” Tampa Photo Blog!
